I used inscribe pastels and we has a plastic bag, I make it better nexts time by adding more stuff to it, mines bit plane so next time I will are a little bit more color and cut stuff out. my mask is not good for a costume selfie because mine plane and you met to have more color and stuff put into it.
Extended Writing Task
In Vivian maier picture I can see a lot of crosses, water, the picture is black and white. where she took the picture it looks cold and damp, there's not that much lighting and its looks plan and simple. Vivian maier photograph is a kind of a mirror selfie because she's like far back from where she took the photo and you can see her throw the hole. Vivian maier photography work in different ways she alway got different picture she don't always do the same picture she always has somewhere new in her pictures and she goes different places to take her pictures.
in Danny treacy picture I can see a person wearing half green and half brown jacket, one side he's wearing a glove and the other hand I don't think he wearing anything, they got a mask over there faces, the background is plan because its black and you can only see a bit of light. Danny treaty picture is a self portrait picture, it looks like this picture was took in a studio because of the light and the background.

Shadow Selfie
=LIGHT: what areas of the photograph are most highlighted? Are there any shadows? Does the photograph allow you to guess the time of day? Is the light natural or artificial? Harsh or soft? Reflected or direct? = the most highlighted parts in this picture is half of this picture half of its dark and half of its not. the most highlighted part in this picture is the top bit the bottom bit doesn't have that much light to it. I think they took this picture when it was sunny because you can get a good shadow in the sun. LINE: are there objects in the photograph that act as lines? Are they straight, curvy, thin, thick? Do the lines create direction in the photograph? Do they outline? Do the lines show movement or energy? = in this picture some lines are straight and some lines are curvy there's not a lot of lines in this picture. the most lines in this picture is the back of it in the corner where the save pocket thing is. where the save pocket is their is outline only a little bit of outline. REPETITION: are there any objects, shapes or lines which repeat and create a pattern? SHAPE: do you see geometric or organic shapes? What are they? How do they relate to one another? TEXTURE: if you could touch the surface of the photograph how would it feel? How do the objects in the picture look like they would feel? |
selfie instruction collage
today in lesson we done selfie collage, we had to take 10 pictures we had to take oh who are you, what did you look like as a child, what inspires you the most, what do you never take a picture of, what do you love about photography, if you could be anything in the world what would you be, what is the first thing you look at in the morning, what is your favourite photo and what's the meaning of life. then we had to choose 6 pictures that we liked the most then we had to cut them out and make a collage then when you done that you stick them on a paper then you add colour to it.
what I like about my selfie collage is that its in different places its all not all in the same places and its colourful its not just black and white and some pictures are not in a staright line some of them a wonky. what I could of done to make it look better is to add more pictures to it and spaced them more out a bit.

lee friedlander's shadow selfies
in this lesson we had to make a story with some pictures and we had to try and guess why the person took these pictures. I worked with Melike on this work and we done it wrong we thought you meant to say what we saw in the picture but you was meant to write a story but we made a little peaces for this but mostly we just said what we thought was happening in these pictures. what would of made this better if we done a story and not just say what we said.
assessment
in Kenneth Josephson chicago, 1980 picture you can see a car and in front of the car their is someone hand holding a picture and the picture is someones hand the hand is from the driver and you can see a shadow of the person and the are wearing a hat looks like a cowboy hat. at the back of the car is another car and some man, the man looks like he is riding on a bike. in Francesca woodman- from angel series, Roma, September 1977 picture you can't really see much because its all dark but you can see a box or a door and a shadow of someone little hand all around it is dark and it gets lighter then darker. you can see a shadow and somethings on the wall like a heater. in the room its dark but when you come out it gets lighter and lighter. in the picture it looks like someone hideing from someone or playing a game. them two photos are kinda different from each other because in Kenneth Josephson picture is got more stuff in the picture and different shades and in Francesca woodman picture is more plan .
in Kenneth Josephson picture they done framing because when they was standing near the car a put are picture up probably to hind the drivers faces and in Francesca woodman picture they used framing to because when where that box or door is its light around it but when you start to come out it goes lighter. Kenneth joshephson- Chicago, 1980 picture is a landscape picture and Francesca woodman- from angel series, Roma, September 1977 picture is a portrait picture.
in Francesca woodman picture is a unexpected picture because where it is taken and it looks creepy because its dark and their is just one thing there and its the box or a little door and their is a shadow of a hand on the box or the little door. in Kenneth Josephson picture it looks like a mysterious picture because their someone wearing a cowboy hat and their holding up a picture up and it look like the driver hand. Probably matching something up maybe their was a crime and someone got a picture of someone hand who was in the crime trying to match it up.
I like the Francesca woodman picture more then Kenneth Josephson picture because I like how it is and I like how its goes dark then some bits are light and they could be many things you could say about this picture.
Francesca woodman self portrait
what do you see in this image?
- Why do you think that this photograph is a square format?
- I think that this image is square because of the camera used. I think that this is a film camera
- What do you see in the image?
- Most of the image is of the doorway, which takes up most of the image. Inside the frame there are two large shapes.Behind the large shape there is a person but only the feet are visible. The second one only a hand is visible. It reminds me of a horror movie with people hiding behind furniture. It makes me feel a little afraid. I also think that this is interesting as it makes me curious and I want to know what they are doing.
- How many people are in the image?
- There are two people visible in the image
- How is this a self portrait?
- I would describe this as a self portrait yes. The camera is not visible in the image though. I think that the photographer used a tripod and a self timer.
- Where was the camera placed?
- the camera was placed Outside of the door as it is looking into the room.
